I've been running into so many little things I would love to be able to get my hands on recently, definitely some more warmer weather pieces. Others are just some staples- black cone heels and ballerina flats. I've been on a mad search for some that actually look more like legitimate ballet slippers. I thought about getting actual ones, but wondered about the practicality of that.

The sun also rises

Oh hi guys, look, I'm a redhead now!

Me and my infamous odd faces. One day my face is going to get stuck doing that. When that day comes, I'll be okay with it. I don't normally post these sorts of pictures up, but I figured why not. You might as well really get to know me since you've stopped by!

As a side note, the title of this post actually reminded me that I never got to finish that Hemingway novel... That needs to be changed.

I adore this high-waisted denim skirt I got at American Apparel a while back, but at the same time it's so darn tight! There's honestly days where I just can't squeeze into it. And to think this is the largest size they carry... real confidence buster AA! I shouldn't be complaining though, because honestly, I'd be willing to get it in practically every color.

These tights: my absolute favorite. I don't know if that can be considered a valid statement anymore since I feel like I've said it before... but dots AND a floral pattern, can you get any better?

Oh DARLING, my would I love a cupcake break every so often! Baked sweets are surely a stress breaker, and that is exactly why this delightful original painting from the lovely Art by Rodriguez Etsy shop would be something perfect for just about anyone to keep that little reminder!

My favorites from the shop that I found instantly delicious are these note cards reproduced from the maker's original art, then accented with a Swarovski Crystal for a perfect amount of sparkle. Perfect for you valentine's day loves without the typical chalky heart candies. Because let's face it. Who really likes those anyways?

Ready or not

 First day back to classes was this past Monday and this is what I decided on. I really needed a flowery cheering up since I had to wake up at 6:00am as opposed to the usual 9 or so I've become used to, and hey, I have to say it did the trick! Or at least as much that can be done when you're waking up at that hour.

The dress was actually originally not so much a dress when I purchased. It was a romper that managed to deceive me until I got home and tried it on. I didn't bother to inspect it much in the store since it was only $3, but it turned out okay anyways since I was easily able to do a bit of cutting and sewing to fix it into my original expectations. Now quite easily one of my favorites!

It's surely starting to look like Spring around here with all the beautiful blossoms, yet I can't say I'm quite ready for it. I'm still not willing to let go of all my tights and sweaters!

The G.O.O.D.S magazine

So recently I took up a little side project interning for The G.O.O.D.S magazine, an online publication. Up above you can check out the article I did on the up and coming 70's trend for this Spring, but also, I think the whole magazine deserves a good look on its own. It features some wonderful styling and photography, and is fairly broad in its focus, so it feeds a bit of every piece of creativity you can tap into.
